‘Eastern Bloc’ - Thomas Dolby
I regret not discovering this song earlier, it has one of the best chord progressions I’ve ever come across and the lyrics are fantastic too. And this won’t make sense to anyone that hasn’t heard ‘Europa and The Pirate Twins’, but I love how so many little aspects of it are worked into this song, Thomas Dolby truly is a genius.
Oh SOMEBODY had Bo Diddley in mind when writing this.
